Absolutely not! Chess is considered one of the most difficult disciplines in the world to master but it is surprisingly easy to learn. We at chess for children teach children as young as three years of age! We also go into schools and teach the entire student body in less than a day!

Chess is many things but foremost it is a game, yes a very sophisticated and mind bending game but a game nevertheless and children are wonderful at games!

The fact that chess is easy to learn is a big plus for children because it helps build their self esteem and shows them that their minds are wondrous and beautiful things. I often say in class that birds fly, fish swim and human beings think!
