Chess for Children was founded by Ernest Colding with a mission to make chess exciting, creative, and educational for children of all backgrounds.
What began as a small local chess club in New York grew into a long-running educational program serving schools, private students, tournaments, camps, and online learners for more than two decades.
Through story-driven lessons, interactive adventures, and creative teaching methods, Chess for Children helps students build confidence, focus, critical thinking, and sportsmanship both on and off the chessboard.
